NY Post Endorsement

posted October 22nd

October 20, 2006 -- Voters in have a chance to undo the damage wrought by the state's Democrats in August's primary by re-electing Joe Lieberman to the United States Senate.

Since his surprise defeat at the hands of gadfly multimillionaire Ned Lamont, Lieberman has pursued re-election as an independent - a status that describes both his affiliation on the ballot and his political position. (Republican candidate Alan Schlesinger, drawing single digits in the most recent polls, won't be a factor in the race.)

The Hollywood- and Web-based nuts who have been hauling the Democrats ever leftward seek to exact revenge on Lieberman - the Democrats' vice presidential candidate just six years ago - for his refusal to apologize for supporting the war in.

Read the full endorsement.

In Joe’s crow about the NY Post endorsement, he pastes on his blog [without clear and proper attribution] this quote: “October 20, 2006—Voters in have a chance to undo the damage wrought by the state’s Democrats in August’s primary by re-electing Joe Lieberman to the United States Senate.”

IMO this needs to core a Democrat-directed initiative; definitely mailers, possibly TV ad, that Joe thinks CT Democrats are inflict “damage” with their votes – does this man deserve the vote of any CT Dem? Vote Ned Lamont, DEMOCRACT for US Senate.

E Went-Blank, your English has gone from bad to worse. I can't even decipher your blog much anymore. I guess it gives you more leeway to twsit and turn your words, just like your boss, Joe LIE-man.

Erik -- a)look up the definition of "gadfly" before you use it; b)probably one of the reasons Ned is a millionare is because he knows how to work hard and do proper accounting -- e.g. would never see a third of a million dollars as "petty cash." Glad you got an endorsement from a rag -- is the National Enquirer next? Enquiring minds want to know (and want to know where that money went).

Uhh...The New York POST? Who's endorsing Lieberman next?
The Weekly World News or National Enquirer? Pretty pathetic.
It's pretty ominous, too, to keep getting endorsements from
FORMER office holders, not current ones. This State and country need to move
forward, changing course.
