Joe condemns vandalism of Groton sub sign

posted on October 20th

“This irrational act by misguided vandals disrespects the entire community. More specifically, it disregards the sacrifice and dedication of active and former submarine sailors, their families, and our equally devoted workers at Electric Boat and the sub base. While they may vandalize this sign, they cannot tarnish the spirit which is the “Submarine Capital of the World.” This sabotage simply and inappropriately defiles the legacy of a great community.”

"Misguided vandals"? Isn't that an oxymoron?
How about "guided vandals" - that remove and damage Lamont signs, or disrupt (for petty cash) Lamont's campaign appearances?

While Lieberthugs may vandalize these signs, they cannot destroy or take away the right to vote for Ned Lamont as our choice for US Senator. This sabotage simply and inappropriately defiles the integrity of free and open speech preceding a fair election.

"Sabotage" isn't quite the right word.

The sign needs to be repainted with an exterior grafitti-resistant enamel. Just a handful of thankful volunteers from the subbase can get it done in a couple of hours. (You know, the 31,000+ employees saved by Joe? Or Simmons. Or Nancy Johnson. - Kinda depends on whose ad is on TV at the moment).

With Groton population just over 10,000, commute must be REALLY annoying gettin' to the base...

Well, we must be very vigilant that they do not "take away the right to vote for Ned Lamont"; I'm thankful we have a Dem SOS and largely Dem election officials at the local scale. I'm surprised they didn't just take the next step and blame Lamont.

Turned out it was some non-political dipshit artist who wanted to "make a splash".

He should be dragged behind a submarine through a school of jellyfish.

(OK, I know that they don't drag people behind subs, and also jellyfish typically are loners and tend to disperse rather than school...

...but still; he deserves it! Dumbass!)
